David Capezza

David is Interim Chief Risk Officer for Visa Europe, responsible for protecting the business, safeguarding clients and the financial ecosystem, maintaining security and integrity, combating fraud, and supporting growth. He previously served as Head of Europe Risk Advisory and UK & Ireland Risk Advisor, managing risk engagement across the region. David has also led Ecosystem Risk in Europe and, before moving to London, led Visa's Payment Systems Intelligence team in Washington, disrupting global fraud targeting Visa clients and merchants. Earlier, he worked in Visa's Cyber Security and Cyber Defense team and held roles within the U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, and government consulting. He holds a Master's in Russian and Eurasian affairs and multiple security certifications, including CEH, and has authored numerous publications.
