Tryggvi Davidsson is the CEO and co-founder of indó, a licensed digital savings bank launched in Iceland in 2023. In just two years, indó has grown to capture 25% of the country’s population as customers and 18% of national debit card volume, making it one of the fastest-growing banks in Europe.
Under Tryggvi’s leadership, indó has ranked #1 in national customer satisfaction surveys for two consecutive years, achieving the highest score ever recorded for any company in Iceland.
Prior to founding indó, Tryggvi worked in investment banking in London and was involved in the restructuring of Iceland’s financial system following the 2008 financial crisis. Today he focuses on building a fully regulated digital savings bank designed to deliver radically better customer outcomes at a fraction of the cost of traditional banks - driven by the belief that simple, transparent and low-cost banks will reshape European banking in the 21st century.
